|T| DEFINE SUCCESS - PICTURE IT!
PROCRASTINATION SERIES (2/5)
Clearly visualize the task done.

Motivation comes from visualizing.

Try to clearly visualize the task done. Know how it will look like when finished. The more pristine your image is, the more it will create automatic motion towards it. Clearly defining success is also a winner in the project management arena. If it gets fuzzy, recall what's the purpose of the task, what's the added value behind.

When a baby sees something he wants, the will try to move towards it. After seeing a grown up walking, he kind of understands what a cool way that would be to get to things he wants. But the motivation, the driver, will hardly be the walking itself - it's the desire to get the "things". Very likely the baby will stare at what he wants, finding creative ways to get there, including trying to stand and walk, so he gets there faster. But if you take the "thing" out of sight, he will stop, and the challenge of walking is no longer there.

visualization absolutely DOES work, and I think those who don't believe so haven't given it a fair chance. I mean, you can't just picture something ONCE and POOF -- there it is....

I honestly believe I have my husband and baby because I kept a very clear image of this life in my head at a time when it seemed it would never happen. SEEING things the way they could be encouraged me to act in ways that helped bring it about....
