ICELAND & WALTER MITTY LEOPARDS

Fjallsarlon, ICELAND

If you've seen the movie "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty", you probably remember the scene where Sean Penn is photographing a rare leopard and in the end doesn't shoot, absorved in the moment, refusing the distraction of the camera.

Iceland is a bit like that. Opressive in its beauty, it frequently triggers the frustration of not being able to capture not even a fair part of what surrounds us, for being so much. And then, it's time to put down the camera and just be. So that a world of intensity and feelings can photograph itself on our mind, in a moment that's valuable for itself and will eventually fade from memory, no matter how hard we want to keep it...

Travelling is not collecting photos, nor even collecting moments. It's neither a checklist that you pursue, as if you were at fault with something. It's just being and feeling. It's not preparing tomorrow, is "right here, right now". And is there anything more important than great "right heres and right nows"?

Yes, I agree that LIFE should be lived focused on "here and now".
But, the way we choose to live "here and now" is the "format" process of our future!
Main conclusion: living focused on "here and now" with a glimpse of the possible futures in your mind.
