If you usually take your laptop home to catch up after dinner, leave the adapter behind, allowing only for 1 or 2 hours of battery power. This will make you choose wisely what you invest time on, and set a reasonable limit for your "work at home".
Of course this has limited reach if you replace your laptop by iPad, or smartphone, or your spouse's PC, but anyway it should at least give you a hand in your perception of time passing, and recall the importance of energy management: your energy!!!
This is really a great idea and it made me smile because unfortunately (or not) my laptop was shipped with a battery that last 8-9h.
But I'll place a reminder in Outlook instead. ;-)
Great hint!
